Subject:  Kitchen Woes


 The kitchen cabinets are that yellow oak and I'm looking to change those - either another stain or maybe a paint color. My kitchen is dark as the sun comes in the three windows in the afternoon. My floors will be redone in a natural oak color so I'm getting rid of the yellow undertone. I'm open to new countertops and possibly new appliances if it makes the kitchen better (I'll have to pace myself with the money but I want your ideas as a whole). I'm really, really struggling with the paint color - everything I paint looks awful. The color on there now (and I hate it) - mint green, reminds me of a hospital. My taste is more traditional and I really like warm colors. I tend to lean towards the browns. My kitchen isn't huge, as you can see in the pictures...hate that part but what can you do? :) Okay, give me your thoughts and work some magic.
